BIG thanks to everyone that donated to Adopt-A-Family! We raised $525 for the family. Great job everyone! And that is not including all the clothing items that were donated as well.

This morning Kelly Kirtley, our social chair, received a MO81st challenge coin. Only 3 challenge coins have ever been awarded. Mrs. Kirtley (the room mom) comes in during classes to issue out uniforms to cadets and organizes events and fund raisers. All the cadets and parents in the unit know her by name. Mrs. Kirtley is kind and accepting to all.
"To the MO 81st. It is with humble gratitude that I accept this coin today. You are an inspiring group to spend time with! Thank you for making me a honorary member of your fine group and letting me serve you as you prepare to lead our country to greatness in what ever vocation you choose. Thank you," Mrs Kirtley. MO81st Room Mom Wednesday and Thursday were the first promotion board's of the year. Promotion board's give cadets the oppourtunity to advance rank. How well they performed during the promotion board determines whether or not a cadet advances rank.
