Cadets interested in a military career got up early Friday morning and got on an 2 hour bus ride to Fort Leonard Wood for a field trip. The field trip started off with visiting future soldiers undergoing a physical basic training course where our cadets got to walk around and see some of the physical challenges our men and women go through. Next cadets visited the "Confidence Tower" where soldiers rappel down a tower to defeat their fear of heights. Next cadets got to eat a meal at the "defac" which is wear soldiers eat 3 meals a day. At the end of lunch cadets got to witness drill sergeants interact with soldiers. After lunch cadet's went to experience a 1st person military simulator that trains soldiers how to react in life or death situations. Finally cadets visited a military museum on the base that houses 3 exhibits. Throughout the whole entire trip cadets had a tour guide and got to tour the base.
