Cadets from both Marquette's AFJROTC unit and Lafayette took a weekend trip. Cadets left before school on Friday and traveled to their hotel in Huntsville Alabama. The next day they went to Space Camp and had a guided tour throughout the museum. Cadets also learned about different types of rocket fuel, and made/launched paper rockets during a classroom session. After space camp cadets returned to the hotel. The last day of the trip cadets left the hotel and traveled to Memphis Tennessee and visited the civil rights museum. This museum is built around the Lorraine Hotel. This is the site where Martin Luther King was assassinated on April 4th, 1968. Then cadets headed home and arrived back at school by 8:00pm.
