Google+ (Where the unit currently hosts all of its images) is being shut down April 2nd of this year. This means that, after that date, the Photo Gallery may not be working until a permanent solution is found. Some frequently asked questions about this:
Q: I need photos of the unit for ____. Where can I get them (after April 2nd)? A: The photos are currently being backed up in our unit's Dropbox account, so once Google+ closes you will need to contact anyone with access to the email. This will generally include Cyber Officers, Deputies, Executive Officers, Commanders, and our Instructors. Q: Will there be a replacement for Google+ eventually? A: Google+ unfortunately offered a very unique service in that they made photo storing and access very easy for the public in a way that is unrivaled currently. Replacement ideas are currently being discussed, but nothing has been agreed upon yet. Q: Say I have an idea for a replacement photo storage service, or any other general ideas for the website or unit, where could I go to share these ideas? A: Great question, the furthest right tab on our main pages says "Recommendations?", simply click on that and fill out the form and a Cyber Officer will forward your idea and respond as quick as possible. |
