Meet The Instructors

AFJROTC has two instructors; one who teaches valuable life lessons, while the other teaches Aerospace Science.

Cnl. Robert Jakcsy

Aerospace Science Instructor (ASI): "I called New Mexico home until we decided to retire here in Missouri.  I attended high school and college in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  As the son of a retired Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt), I moved around a lot even before I entered the Air Force and have lived in 8 different states, Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar.  I have a Bachelors and Masters degree in Criminal Justice and served over 24 years as a Special Agent in the Air Force's primary investigative agency, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI for short)...think NCIS, but in the Air Force. I am married and have three adult children.  I ride a Harley Davidson and work in my wood shop during my free time. My primary reason for deciding to become a teacher was to introduce students to opportunities that they may not have ever considered.  If you want to know more about a particular job or career...I'll learn with you."

SMSgt. Matthew Zahradka

Senior Aerospace Science Instructor (SASI): "I have been teaching in the Rockwood School District since August, 2019.  I am a native St. Louisan, married with 2 grown children, and a graduate of Westminster College, Fulton, MO.  Prior to teaching, I spent time in numerous career fields in the chemical industry ranging from sales, business development, and sales management.  In addition, I spent over 25 years serving my country in the Guard/Reserves in many different commands holding various positions. I retired from the US Air Force Reserve in 2018 as a Senior Master Sergeant/First Sergeant in the 932d Airlift Wing at Scott AB, IL. My hobbies are motorcycle riding, exercising, and exploring back roads in the Midwest."

Meet the Commander

The unit commander(s) have earned the highest rank in Air Force JROTC (Cadet Colonel/Cadet Lt. Colonel) and are in charge of running our unit for a whole semester. The deputy commander is the person who the unit commander has appointed as their second-in-command.

Meet The Parents Association

Janet Deidrick
Vice President
This is Janet's second year to serve on the LHS AFJROTC Parents Association Board. Last year, she was the Fundraising Chairperson. This year, Janet serves as Vice President, and also serves on the Fundraising Team. The Deidrick family were new to Rockwood School District and LHS for the 2020-21 school year, as their son Ben entered 9th grade.  Janet is honored to be of assistance to this wonderful program that provides such excellent structure and expectations of accountability for the cadets. She is very thankful for the other parents, past and present, who have dedicated their time and efforts, and for the great influence AFJROTC has been for Ben, who greatly enjoys being in the Missouri 81st unit.

Randy Diedrick
Secretary 
Randy Deidrick is the current secretary of the Lafayette High School (LHS) Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) Parents Association. Randy is President of RSD Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm that works with several defense and aerospace companies around the world.  He retired in August 2020 as Executive Director on the T-7A Redhawk program after 36 years. Randy lives in Wildwood with his wife, Janet, and son, Ben.  Ben is a Junior at LHS and South County Technical School.  This will be Ben’s third year in the AF JROTC program.
Alison Hadzic
Purchasing Agent
Alison Hadzic is a mom to two teenage boys, both participating in LHS AFJROTC. She is currently
serving as the Purchasing Agent for the Unit this school year. She works as a Financial Planner and
enjoys cooking, quilting, reading and hanging  
Ran Huang
Treasurer
​Ran is the treasurer for AFJROCT PA. He works as an actuary for a reinsurance company. He holds the CPA certificate. He worked as an accountant for many years before he became an actuary. He likes to play tennis in his spare time.
